Linux

So, I've started using Linux recently. I was always a little interested in using the OS since i have friends that use it a whole lot and often say how linux > windows in a big way. I first gave it a go for a short while in the summer holidays (which were really great btw) and used wubi to install ubuntu. Wubi turned out to be an awesome way to try out the OS quickly and simply. Long story short changing distros on a wubi install is a bad idea, so I got rid of the thing and didn't go back for a little while.

Summer holidays ended and I suddenly realised: shit i have zero time for gaming. Then i remembered what a pain it is to get most games running on Linux. How inconveniently convenient! With the help of my friend Dan (who advised kubuntu as opposed to ubuntu) I installed kubuntu properly, with a disc partition and stuff. And when I say I, I mean he did it all for me...

Anyway using kubuntu as a tool to stop myself gaming and keep my focus on college work as well as general computer usage has turned out really well. So well in fact that I dread going back to windows now.

Yeah this all sounds like a massive advert for Linux but its totally true. Linux has its issues sometimes, and setting it up requires a certain level of skill, but once you get going its an awesome environment for everything. Without going into massive detail Linux just feels up to date, cutting edge, smooth, easy, fast, intelligent... with only a couple rough spots, most of which are compatibility issues anyway. Srsly so many awesome features, get it now

P.S.
We don't update much because our lives are so interesting and full of things to post about that we don't have time to post about these interesting things.
